Every Schoolday Counts

Every Schoolday Counts is an exciting initiative in Sunderland with the aim of improving the school attendance of Primary aged pupils. All children at Quarry View Primary School take part in this exciting project and work towards the excellent incentives on offer for good attendance.
Every Schoolday Counts was established in September 2002, with funding from the Government's Children's Fund, and will continue until 2008.

Over 23,000 children and 16,500 families have benefited from Every Schoolday Counts, which is accessed by 88 schools.

It has a national following and Spike, the Project's friendly attendance mascot, plays a huge role in the identity.

He is well known throughout the region and a very welcome character at Quarry View Primary School.

Since the Project's commencement Primary School attendance is at it's highest!
