Homework
Literacy
- Every Monday, the children are given a list of 10 to 20 words for a spelling test on Thursday or Friday.
- It is important for your child to learn these spellings each night, for about 10-15 minutes.
- Your child should be able to read the word, write the word and understand its meaning.
- On Tuesday, literacy homework is given out. It needs to be completed and returned for the following Friday.
- It will either relate to what they have been doing in class that week, or to recap previously covered work.
Your support is greatly appreciated with homework and spellings.
Numeracy
- Every Tuesday your child will receive a piece of numeracy homework to be returned the following Friday.
- It is important that it is returned on time as it will be a part of Friday’s lesson.
- Numeracy targets are sent home at the beginning of each term or as a new target is set. We expect you to support your child with their targets until they are achieved.
- Your child needs quick recall skills, to enable them to successfully complete their numeracy targets.
