CURRICULUM INFORMATION FOR YEAR 2 AUTUMN TERM

Dear Parents,

During the first half term in year 2 our topic is ‘Lighthouses’ and ‘Festivals’ in the second half.  Our aim is to teach the majority of our curriculum subjects through these topics. However, some areas of the curriculum will need to be taught discretely. Any additional information the children may have at home would be greatly appreciated.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS AVAILABLE TO YOUR YEAR GROUP ARE: 

  • Dance
  • Football (lunchtimes only). Class 6 this half term, class 7 next half term.

ASSEMBLIES ARE ON: Monday and Friday afternoons.


HOMEWORK   

  • Sent out on Tuesdays (Literacy and numeracy)
  •    Returned by Friday.
  •    Spellings to go home on Monday – tested on Fridays.
