Recent School Activities

Football & Netball 

Congratulations to the Y5 / Y6 they played recently in a cluster tournament and our first teams were victorious in both competitions both second teams played well with the football team finishing second and netball team finishing second. The next round of matches will be played after half term at South Hylton primary school. We wish our 5 a side team well in the citywide competition on the second of March. Good luck Quarry View!!

Swimming

On Friday 23rd March 2007, 23 of our year 6 children took their swimming test at Newcastle Road swimming baths. The children attempted their 25 metre swim - congratulations to those who achieved it! The swimming lessons will continue in the summer term so who knows, we might have some olympic swimmers in our school!

Tennis

For the last 4 weeks, some of our year 3 children have been lucky enough to have a tennis coach take their P.E. lessons and some have been chosen to represent our school in a tournament. Two teams of 8 children will be going to the Puma centre in Silksworth on Thursday 29th March to play against children from other local schools. Good luck everyone and we will let you know how they get on.

UPDATE: Team A were runners up in the tournament and team B were the winners! They all received certificates and medals for their achievements. Team B will be taking part in the final against other schools on Tuesday 1st May - Fingers crossed!
