Star Award
Achievement
At Quarry View we consider ALL of our children stars! However we do have a special award for individuals who stand out that bit further for academic achievement, effort, behaviour, attendance/punctuality or anything the staff feel a child should be commended for. Both KS1 and KS2 celebrate their Pupil's achievements with star award.
The children are told in advance of their nomination and a letter is given to them to take home to their parent(s)/carer(s) for their pending award. This enables the parent(s)/carer(s) to attend the school assembly in which the award is given and join in with our celebration of their achievement.
In the assembly children are asked to come up to the front of the hall, and are presented with a certificate from Mrs Bately, Mrs Wood or Mr Haswell. Children are then able to choose a gift from a basket of goodies, and get a sticker for all to see.
Our children take great pride in receiving the Star Award and sharing it with friends and family makes it all the more special.
The Shaun Herley is an award that is awarded to a Year 6 pupil who has been outstanding throughout the school.
Who do you think it will be this year ????
